Job Description :

Job Description of Placement Officer:
Coordinating with the corporate for the institute recruitment process, generating new leads & increasing the placement % of the institute, to invite prospective companies/organizations to campus for recruitment, To provide in-plant training at companies.

* Study or understand students (for Screening) and shortlist students as per vacancies and organizing for and conducting interviews.
*
* To organize work placements and support students in the work placement process.
*
* Interviewing students to assist them with choosing the most suitable placement or experiential learning experience.
*
* Supporting faculty who are implementing an experiential or service learning assignment in their courses.
*
* Designing and implementing student work readiness programs including resume writing,
interview preparation workshops, etc.

* Maintaining a current database of employers, student placements and experiential assignments.
*
* To organize and attend placement visits to monitor the progress of students, and deal effectively with any issues/concerns that arise.
*
* Assist with briefing meetings on a group and individual basis with students and course leaders so that they understand the work placement process, the level of support available and are fully equipped to undertake a successful work placement.
*
* To assist in the development and maintenance of a database of appropriate employer and commercial industrial links
*
* To assist with work placement correspondence and telephone enquiries internally and externally.
*
* To help monitor the progress of work placement throughout the institute in liaison with the others.
*
* Other related issues as assigned.

Qualification & Skills required:
* Candidate should have Graduate or Master Degree.
*
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
*
* Excellent time management and problem solving skills, and attention to detail
*
* Ability and desire to work independently in a fast paced environment and complete multiple tasks and a large volume of work in a timely and effective manner.
*
* The ability to work well with others, both internally and externally, from a wide variety of backgrounds
*
* Proficient Microsoft Office.
